What you need to collect your starting number!

Start number band / chip band
If you don't have one, you can get one when you collect your starting number.
Which bikes are allowed?
Basically, you can ride any bike that has a functioning front brake and rear brake.
E-bikes are not allowed.
Competition catering
We have set up 3 refreshment stations.
Refreshment station 1.
This is located directly at the exit from the transition zone on the right hand side when you go onto the running track. Water and isotonic drinks are available here.
Refreshment station 2
is located at about km 2.5 on the left side. Water and ISO are also offered here.
Refreshment station 3
is located at the finish. Iso, water and cola are offered here.
In the interest of the environment, we ask you to throw the cups into the garbage cans we provide!
Competition briefing
The competition briefing will take place on site as usual and is mandatory for every participant.
This takes place in the transition zone.

Bike Check-IN
When checking in, the bike and helmet are checked for compliance with the rules (front and rear wheel brakes, handlebars, triathlon attachments and wheels if applicable). This is purely a visual inspection and not a test of functionality.
The athlete must therefore have the bike checked by a specialist beforehand.
The bike helmet must be put on when checking in and the strap must be fastened; only then is check-in possible.
When checking in, the presence of the start number on the bike and the control band on the arm will also be checked.
Please also refrain from bringing large boxes and bags.

BikeCheckOUT
The bike check out begins as soon as the last athlete has left the bike and onto the running track.
This will be announced by the announcer.
For the bike check out you absolutely need your start number
You cannot check out your bike without your start number. We ask you to throw your rubbish in the rubbish bin provided when you leave.
As soon as check out has started please collect your bike as soon as possible.
NEOPREN
Wearing a neoprene suit while swimming is allowed as long as the neoprene thickness is no more than 5mm!
These temperatures decide whether neoprene is forbidden or mandatory.
up to and including 1,500 m swimming:
22.0° C and above wetsuit ban (Olympic distance)
15.9° C and below wetsuit mandatory
The decision is always made on the day of the competition by the competition judge!
Cycling route
The cycle route is completely closed! The road traffic regulations apply to all cyclists and must be strictly observed!
Slipstreaming is NOT allowed!

ÖTRV License
Since the Vienna Triathlon is a competition according to the ÖTRV, all participants require an ÖTRV license.
If you do not have an annual license, you have the option of purchasing a day license from the ÖTRV when you collect your start number. ( Costs )
You can only start with a license!
Athletes with an annual license must bring their license card with them and show it when collecting their start number.
Parking
There is plenty of parking right next to the Steinsporn Bridge! From there, you can walk across the Steinsporn Bridge to the event site in 5-10 minutes.

Showers and toilets
Showers, toilets and changing rooms are available in the rowing center.
These are located at the restaurant Himmel und Wasser

Health
If you need first aid, contact the nearest marshal or helper.
Medical help will be on its way to you immediately. In any case, stay at the point from which the medical team was notified.
There is a stationary rescue service directly at the event site and we have also positioned two mobile rescue vehicles on the cycle route.
One is at the turnaround at Weir2 and one is in the middle of the cycle route.
Attaching the start number
The start number must be worn clearly visible on the front of the body while running.
While cycling, the start number must be worn clearly visible on the back of the body.
The helmet number must be clearly visible on the side (left) and on the front of the helmet.
The bike number must be attached to the seat post of the bicycle.
We recommend using a start number strap to attach the start number to your upper body.
If you don't have them, you can purchase them locally.
