Route map

Route overview

The route is characterized by flat, clear sections on and around the Danube island that are completely closed to traffic.

  • Swimming 2 laps (approx. 1.5km): The start is in the gently flowing New Danube. As it is a still or only minimally flowing body of water, the conditions are ideal and safe even for less experienced swimmers.

  • Cycling: 4 laps (39.2 km): After the transition, the route follows a completely flat out-and-back course on Danube Island. Since the course is paved and entirely traffic-free, participants can concentrate on their pace without cars or difficult inclines.

  • The finish line is at the entrance to the transition zone after the cycling route, near the Mako Arch.
