Route map

Route overview

The route is characterized by flat, clear sections on and around the Danube island that are completely closed to traffic.

  • The start takes place after the last swimmer is out of the water at the swim entrance to the transition area under the Mako Arch.

  • Cycling: 4 laps (39.2 km): After the transition, the route follows a completely flat out-and-back course on Danube Island. Since the course is paved and entirely traffic-free, participants can concentrate on their pace without cars or difficult inclines.

  • Running 2 laps (9.6km): The final running route is also flat, running through the forest on Danube Island. Cheered on by numerous spectators in the start and finish area, the route leads directly to the emotional finish.
