Dear Danube Island visitors,

Every year on the second weekend in September we organize a triathlon in the Steinspornbrücke/Watersports Center/Rowing Center area.

Due to this event, the Danube Island from the Steinsporn Bridge to Weir 2 will be closed for two days.

Saturday from 6:00 - approx. 12:00

Sunday 6:00 - approx. 13:00

On the one hand, we want to ensure that the event runs smoothly, but on the other hand, we want to keep the closures as short as possible.

Of course, it is also possible to get to the Danube Island and Schwechat during Schwechat's closed times.

From Schwechat: Right bank of the Danube cycle path to Prater Bridge

From Danube Island: Prater Bridge then right bank of the Danube cycle path to Schwechat

Our event is approved every year by MA45 and MA36.

We ask all visitors to the island for their understanding on both days and would be very happy to welcome you as a spectator.
